How This Program Works
Our Housing Access Program has several steps:
- First, we get to know the person who is seeking housing. We meet one-on-one and ask questions about preferences and needs for housing. We learn about where the person wants to live, what kind of housing they can afford, and other relevant information.
- Then, we create a personalized plan for finding the best rental options.
- We provided tenant education. This includes teaching people about their rights and responsibilities as renters.
- We match people with the best apartments for them. And, we support the application process.
- Finally, we support the move-in process. In addition, we may provide short-term assistance to set people up for success in their new home.
This process may take several months. However, the end result is a stable and affordable home.
